Hello everyone. Here you see me at my computer. I spend a lot of time here; it’s where I think, ponder, and write. You can see that I have a photo of Martin Luther King, Jr. where I can see it; also a blue denim photo frame that holds pictures of me and my dear cousin Maxine, taken when we were 16 years old. Still miss her very much.

Notice the owl on my desk. When I was visiting my mom a lot we would take walks and she found this owl made of plaster that was shoved into a bush. She knows I like owls. Miss her also.

Don’t get me wrong; life is very good indeed. I miss these two people but I’m not grieving. There’s a difference.

Goals–both major and minor–are good things. It’s the way I stimulate myself to move on in various ways. Yesterday I met a big goal–I earned the amount of money I’ll need to self-publish two books in 2016. This was money earned from my writing business. I still can’t believe that I really did this.
